Can the Blazers give us a decent Starting 5?

Really now, I think we all know who should be the Starting Five. Portland loves Brandon Roy since his breakout rookie season, but now Portland is also in love with this Rudy character. The other three spots should be filled by crazy players who don't give a sh*t about the money but rather just the exposure: Batum, Frye and Pryzbilla. But let's see how long it's going to take the Blazers to finally figure it out... umm, hopefully not 5 seasons like it did back in Pippen's time when the coaches were scared of Rasheed to not start that crackhead. But really, Rasheed was a great entertainer. Nonetheless, he's Blazer past. The future lies witihin a starting 5 that would produce decent scores thus earning their starting position. Has starting the game really gone to be a public record? Where starting the game is more important than actually producing decent scores? Many players in the league who start the game, have been proven to produce a victory. Coaches who take chances on their players, usually come out with the victories. Batum I think is going to be a star. He has the swagger of Iverson to drive into the paint with no fear at all. He also has the hunger for minutes as every player should have. He uses his minutes well to produce points. Frye would be a great supported to Pryzbilla on his inside game. The arm span and tenacity Frye shows when he's well supported is strong enough to give Joe a break. Just having a vet out there is enough to have this young starting 5 put up the points they all can. Just having that crazy Spain kid out there is enough to have everyone playing their best. Rudy is in a class of his own, he plays for the essence of flowing motion. Never is he not thinking of a better move to pull as he's in transition to stealing a ball. It's just crazy to see someone with so much passion to score. He just wants to score. Which is better for us Blazers because he's on our team. Brandon Roy is another great player to have on the court for his tempo is what the veterans feed off of. Brandon Roy is nothing but consistency when he's on his game. All of these players of high level basketball would make a vicious starting 5. The arsenal is heavy upon scoring, driving the ball, rebounds, breakaways and strong top of the arch defense. Hopefully the Blazers can see the reality to this and finally do some good with the guns we have in dispense of.. We'll call Aldridge a Swiss Knife.. Ha! If only he was so dependant. In the end, praise the Blazers as you cross your fingers when the starting line-up is announced. So that it's just not a public stunt to fill the seats but rather to secure a win. |
